Austinites voted in favor of Proposition A, which approves the City’s property tax rate and dedicates 8.75 cents of the operations and maintenance portion of the tax rate for Project Connect, Capital Metro’s $7.1 billion public transit plan.
It’s Go Time! Capital Metro’s Project Connect is a transformational expansion of the region’s public transit system, and it’s designed to improve access to essential jobs, health care, and education – making our communities more livable, equitable, and sustainable.
Austin voters have chosen to approve the City of Austin’s Proposition B. The proposition approves $460 million in property tax-supported general obligation bonds for transportation infrastructure like sidewalks, bikeways, urban trails, safe routes to schools, substandard streets and transportation safety projects such as Vision Zero.
